Garment Construction Lab
Garment Construction Lab at SFI is a state-of-the-art facility designed to equip students with in-depth technical knowledge and practical skills in apparel construction. The lab features a wide range of high-tech, industry-grade machines including lockstitch, overlock, flatlock, coverstitch, and other specialized sewing equipment used in professional garment manufacturing. With access to cutting tables, dress forms, pressing equipment, and finishing tools, students gain hands-on experience in all stages of garment development—from pattern drafting and fabric cutting to stitching, seam finishes, and final pressing. Extensive machine hours allow learners to build confidence and expertise in machine operation, quality stitching, and construction techniques, ensuring they meet the high expectations of the fashion and apparel industry.
